Accord Music & Arts Courses in the Heart of the Tarn Valley
The Moulin de Cajarc is a secluded 18th century mill, which nestles into the bank of the river Cerou. It sits beneath the beautiful medieval hilltop town of Cordes-Sur-Ciel in the Tarn Valley.
The Moulin de Cajarc offers the seclusion of a musical retreat and is the perfect location for Accord's classical music courses and workshops, led by a team of British and French musicians who have led courses for many years.
The courses are designed to be small enough to cater for individual needs and to provide highly focussed tuition while at the same time offering opportunities to play in a variety of ensembles.
Accord music courses and workshops in 2014:
• Baroque Flute with Georgia Browne - 30th June to 5th July
• Advanced Recorder with Evelyn Nallen - 24th to 30th August
• Advanced Recorder with Ian Wilson - 19th to 25th October
Cordes is also home to a qualified British yoga teacher and a French language school. Joanne, Christophe and Martine would be pleased to provide expert tuition at the Mill. This can be arranged as a group activity or on an individual basis, during your stay.
The Accord Music Courses listed above are already scheduled for 2014 (please see the Accord Music Courses page for more information), expanding our portfolio to include music appreciation weekends with resident instrumentalists, vocal workshops and composition courses. Once again, Yoga and French tuition will be available for both players and non-players, on request.
The Mill offers spacious rooms with excellent acoustics for group and individual practice, sitting rooms for reading and relaxing, and a large dining room for lunches and dinners.
We hope that you will enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Moulin de Cajarc and its environs; the terrace and gardens overlooking the Cerou river, the enchanting views of Cordes and the surrounding hills...
It is an opportunity to take a step back in time: to read, to walk, to share the joy of making music with friends, to eat and sleep well and to be recharged before heading back to the real world.
Because the mill was acquired with this sole purpose in mind, we are happy to make the house and garden available to choirs and chamber groups at other times of the year with or without catering. We have not quoted a set price for this - further details are available on request.
